BioSolWaRe-LIFE project at the IWA SWWS 2016
BioSolWaRe-LIFE project was presented last week in the 13th IWA Specialized Conference on Small Water and Wastewater Systems (SWWS) & the 5th IWA Specialized Conference on Resources-Oriented Sanitation (ROS). This Conference, organized by the Sanitary Engineering Laboratory of the National Technical University of Athens together with the Hellenic Water Association, was held in Athens (Greece) from the 14th to 16th September. With more than 300 attendees, the conference brought together researchers, engineers, water practitioners from academia, industry, water utilities, public authorities and administration to exchange know how and experiences on water supply and treatment in small populations.
On behalf the BioSolWaRe-LIFE team, Carlos Aragon (CENTA) presented the work entitled “Development of a new microalgae-based wastewater treatment and reuse system with bioenergy production” which focuses on the first results obtained on each of the components that forms demo 1. This work will be published in the Conference Proceedings and will be considered for its further publication in high-impact-factor journals.
