The Water and Sustainability Chair of the University of Murcia held on 15th December 2016, the event “The water reuse in Spain and Europe, past, present and future.”
The event has had a marked technical character, with several round tables dedicated to the great areas of the water reuse, counted with the most prestigious professionals in the matter. The large blocks of study and debate have focused on technologies for water reclamation and advances in R & D & I; the experiences of water reuse in the main uses (urban, irrigated, industrial and environmental); or the impact of water reuse on public health and the economy.
Round Table focused on “Technologies for water reclamation. Advances in R & D & I “ counted on the presence of Dr. Isabel Martín (CENTA), who was in charge of presenting the most innovative advances on water reuse in the context of small communities. The Biosol Water Recycling project (BioSolWare): “Demonstration wastewater treatment system dedicated to freshwater reuse and recycling”, LIFE13 ENV/FR/00071, (www.life-biosol.eu), was presented as an innovative project in the frame of water reuse and circular economy.
